Background tests
Current animatic
This is the current version of my animatic. Until now I've only managed to re-draw about 1/5 or maybe 1/4 of it, so it looks nice and clean and so it's not as confusing as the original that is just a scramble of different boards, where the character designs are so inconsistent, it gives off an impression of there being multiple characters, when in fact theres just one dude, one dudette, one dog and one crowd of people following Jerry's commands.
I'm using my current character designs that I've displayed further below.
It's also still not quite finished, I'm still working out the ending and how to melt and kill all those beautiful golden people.

Previous animatic versions
These are the previous versions of my animatics, and if you're wondering where my story boards are, well, that's where they are.
When I board my films I prefer to throw them on a timeline as I go along to get a feeling of the rhythm of the thing and if my shots work together.
Then I go and refine it and distil it, until I get what I want.
In total I chewed through about 10 different versions of the animatic, I've been going in to re-arrange and re-adjust times of things happening on screen and hence the big number.

Transformations
Here's a concept sketch and some boards of how I'm thinking to do the tanning transformation scene, but it's the most difficult one of them all and I think it needs way more work than what I've given it so far. I feel it's a really tricky one, I don't want it to flatline and be as boring as some of those scenes are, so I'm giving it some more thought over time.
Colour tests
These are some of my colour tests that I've done to see what works for each scene. I want the regular shots, where before Jerry goes in to the tan situation to be fairly boring, so that it contrasts with when I've got him dancing and bathing in that sweet sweet UV light.
don't worry, this is my original Jerry, I found him boring and re-designed him
Character design
The Thicc Chick
Jerry
The Dog
Film inspos
These are the films that I think give off the same tone and general vibe of what I want my film to do. I want it to be all nice and almost sweet/boring up until it goes south and everybody dies.

Early Concepts
These are not a great representation of what went thorough my head, I moved straight to boarding and that's where my concepts lay.
Mood Board
Oooof, nice visuals, nice designs... this is what I want the thing to look like
